Un tout petit tour de France des rosés - La saveur d'un Saint-Chinian

By Marc Vanhellemont for "Les 5 du Vin" (May 13, 2022)

"The carmine pink color has a beautiful shine that almost makes the rosé luminous. The nose combines currant, raspberry, and strawberry, a fragrant trio that entices you to taste it as soon as possible. The palate is first pleasing with its freshness featuring hints of grapefruit, melon, and pear, flavors that are complemented by the sweet taste of the red berries from the nose. This softens it for a while before the spices conclude this delightful moment. Our taste buds retain the pleasant freshness, tart like a candy you've just sucked on.".

Un Rosé ? C'est notre tournée !

By Fabrice Gil for Quotidien Libre (June 5, 2022)

"The wine of Château de Gragnos is the result of a family project. A family passionate about nature and the environment, heritage, and the history of the place. Here, the wine expresses this love for the Earth and the respect for local practices. Château Gragnos produces a beautiful rosé, with a light color, delicately fruity, and incredibly refreshing. A 'glouglou' rosé that's perfect for an aperitif.".

Un rosé de Saint-Chinian pour une cuisine d’été épicée

By Antonio Mafra for Le Progrès (June 12, 2022)

"A terroir known for its structured and smoky reds in the north, lighter with fruit aromas in the south, this appellation in Hérault is upping its game in rosé.

As evidenced by this cuvée from Château de Gragnos, a 17-hectare vineyard, with some vines aged over 90 years, deeply rooted in the Saint-Chinian terroir. Undergoing organic conversion, the estate extends across a 70-hectare backdrop of scrubland and forests.

A blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, this 2021 vintage captivates with the brilliance of its carmine-tinged robe. The nose is filled with notes of ripe red fruits and crushed strawberries. This aroma lingers on a fresh and lively palate with a spicy touch in the finish.

These spicy notes pair well with a friendly exotic cuisine like couscous or a merguez barbecue. We tasted it with saffron-infused monkfish tail. The perfect pairing.".
